Sims 3

As with previous games, The Sims 3 gives you the option to of which house you would like to live in and where you would like it located. You can design your own house from scratch or buy more expensive homes as you progress with your life and career. Depending on the personality of your Sim (particularly if they have the materialistic personality trait), they will be happier if they live in a large house.

The aging process in Sims 3 works more smoothly than before. Rather than jumping from teen to adult to elderly you now progress to a young adult then a slightly older one as you become middle aged before reaching your elder years.

Each of your people in The Sims 3 has a life-time dream as well short-term desires. These influence the way your character behaves. For example if your life time dream is to become leader of the free world, they will have an interest in politics and have a lot of charisma. Achieving the dreams will unlock special items such as a steal bladder so you never need to send your sim to the toilet again.

The Sims 3

Tasks such as going to the toilet and eating are still part of The Sims 3 but the game gives them less enforces than they used to have so you can focus on more fun and interesting tasks. The mechanics of the game have been adjusted to make the game more interesting to core gamers who have previously snubbed Sims games as too repetitive, without taking anything away from the things that have made the series such a success.

Players are now given more rewards for accomplishing tasks. This drives them play to continue with the game and complete challenges which are entertaining but do not punish the player harshly as many games do such as “game overs” as this can be off-putting to casual gamers.

Creating a Sim is now much improved upon from the previous games. You can now really get your Sim to look like any. Before for example you could not make people look very under or overweight you now can. As well as weight you can make them muscular or if you like to whatever degree you wish. You can also adjust details such as hair colour at the routes and at the ends. Making a Sim using preset faces can produce convincing results very quickly and with a few extra minor touches you will be able to create a look-a-like of anyone you can think of.

In characters in Sims 3 really have unique personalities which you can define. Each has 5 traits which you can pick. For example you could mix in that they are clumsy, ambitious, hot headed, brave, outgoing or vegetarian. Those are just a few of the dozens of options available.

Hot on the Customization

One of the features that will definitely eat up your time is the better customization features of Sims. Thanks to the new graphics engine, you can do far more extensive designs than the previous games giving you full control over just about every feature from head to toe. You decide the look, the age, the build, and everything in between. With these enhancements, you have pretty much enough customization options to make good clone of a real person.

Not only do you have control of the looks, but you have even more control on what traits you want to give the character. Make combinations of several traits to greatly affect how the Sim interacts with the environment.

The Sims 3 is looking to be one of the biggest improvements in not just the franchise, but also in gaming history. It is a whole new world to explore with virtually unlimited possibilities with the new personality system and added customization options. Fans of the game will have a real kick out of this and will spend countless hours trying to bring their Sims towards their goals and wishes and beyond.
