Maxis The Sims 3

The Sims franchise of video games has revolutionized video game play. In its virtual reality type play, it can appeal to people of all ages and interests. Now with Maxis’ upcoming release of The Sims 3 they hope to up the ante once again.

In The Sims 3, all of the houses and virtual neighbourhoods will actually be housed on one map. The creators have added the feature that the neighbourhoods and other Sims continue to live their day-to-day lives as you play the game. That means that you will have to keep up on your exterior maintenance and improvements as much as you need to with the interior of your Sim's home.

For player who have played some of the other Sims games there is one big change to get used to. In The Sims 3 the creators have changed the traditional need bar of your Sim. Instead of the previous eight needs in The Sims 3, you will only have six to deal with, but you have to acquire success in them by completing events like a shower or a wedding. However, the game still adjusts your Sims mood based on how their needs are being met. The creators have gotten rid of the want and fear system of previous Sims versions, and instead have replaced it with a wishes and opportunities system. You will also see new difficulties to overcome and some other fun features.

There are some things that The Sims 3 has kept as part of the game. The “young adult” is probably one of the most notable keepers in the game. Additionally, your Sim will still have their lifetime wants, cell phones, cars, jewellery, and weather features to name a few.

The Sims 3 Career Paths

In The Sims 3, there are eleven different career paths that you can have your sim pursue. They can choose from a life of crime, police work, a military path, the scientific road, journalism, an athletic career, a culinary career, and entertainment career, and even a medical career. In The Sims 3, no matter what your Sim chooses to pursue, they will head to their work building, which exists in your Sim neighbourhood. There are even part time job opportunities for your Sim to take to increase their productivity and to bring in more money.

One of the most fun things in the game is to build your Sim. You can still go through this process of choosing their appearance from their shoes to their hair colour. However, The Sims 3 has taken it even further in that you can add small details onto your Sim like a mole. This really gives you the opportunity to really customize your Sim to exactly what you want!

The Sims franchise of games has been popular for years, and Maxis continues to raise the bar on the quality of its game. With The Sims 3 some of the best features of the previous versions are still there, but they have managed to improve on the formula to make it even more users friendly, and more importantly even more fun!
